supporting the Permian basin opera

The Gallery was asked to put up a remote art display for the Opera and we were glad to oblige. 

This is the lobby of The Yucca Theater in Downtown Midland, Texas

We came to the location and evaluated the space then went to the shop and selected a bunch of art to go and hang which would give the lobby a good, full feel. We accomplished our goal.

These three works are by Edna Krueger and they are inspired by makeup used in a Shakespeare production. In person the color is very lively and rich which is often hard to capture with a camera.

This was a great opportunity for The Gallery and much experience was gained in the process. 

The painting on the pilar was commissioned to accompany the opera production and the works on the windows are actually paintings of water dripping down windows, so they were a perfect fit in the center of those large picture windows.
